Production Scheduler

Based in Poole, My client is looking to recruit a Production Scheduler to join the busy expanding team.

You will be required to manage the MAIN FACILITY Production Model[s] to customer demand ensuring items are scheduled accurately on MASTER MODEL

Responsibilities

To uphold company policies as documented in the Business Strategy.
To fully support the MAIN PRODUCTION SHOP [& all other facilities when required] in respect of production planning.
On a daily basis manage & STRICTLY adhere to the MAIN SHOP PRODUCTION MODELS & and update production progress.
To add production requirements to the applicable MAIN SHOP PRODUCTION MODELS in priority order as advised by production engineers.
To update run time data on MAIN SHOP PRODUCTION MODELS from data collected on the commercial section of works order card.
To fully manage all/any assigned 5C/SIPOC and/or lean programmes.
To support all corrective actions & quality reviews to ensure preventative actions in respect of the production scheduling process are effective.
To liaise with all Production Engineers with regards to capacity planning.

Specific Duties

To maintain the MAIN SHOP PRODUCTION MODELS
To attend daily/weekly production meetings.
Adhere strictly to recovery model/plans when necessary.
To notify the WORKS MANAGER immediately an over capacity machine [red box] or late start date is identified and & take action.
To notify a Director if action is NOT taken by the production team.
To collect run time data and populate the product set & run time databases accordingly with accurate information.

Skills
Production Scheduling for aerospace components in an SME using the KANBAN Production Model – Calculate start Dates – Daily updating – Communication on overruns
Understanding of load/Capacity in workshop and machining production planning at quality aerospace component SMS Level – Advanced Microsoft Excel conversant
Pull raw material [TO BE ONSITE 20 DAYS MINIMUM TO SCHEDULED STATE DATE] to meet KANBAN demand and additional spares requirement
Raw material/Finished part Scheduling
Raise Repeat Job Cards and & Issue all supporting Documentation – Liaise with stores person – Ensure next Job/Material is in designated area [48 HRS MINIMUM TO SCHEDULED START DATE]
Familiarity with Aerospace QA[AS9100] control and provision of run lists
Raise discreat PO’s on planned offload requirements
Expedite Sub-Con [Planned Offload + Works Job Card designated]
Daily Production Meetings and liaison with production team on Non Airbus Capacity – Expedite material – Expedite Sub-Con PO’s
Effective workshop/Sub-Con expediting and provision of run lists
Cutinisation of Customer Electronic Purchase Order [EPO] – Existing + Additional Kanban Kit/Spares requirements – Adjust KANBAN Production Model
Customer Liaison – Fully Microsoft Excel conversant
Business Improvement using SIPOC – creation of and adherence of improvement plans
Reaction of OEE Data to KANBAN Production Model
Understanding of Effective OEE management and the implementation of resulting action plans

Salary: £20-28k per annum
Hours: 39 hours over Monday to Friday
Location: Poole, Dorset
