An ERP Systems Business Analysts is now required to join an instantly recognisable company based in Coventry.
My client is very ambitious and are about to embark on a very exciting future after receiving an investment from their parent company for the sum of £325million. With very exciting growth plans my client is looking for dynamic and self-motivated Business Analysts to join their IT Systems function within the business.
As the ERP Systems Business Analysts you will be part of the IT Systems Team, who are responsible for ensuring the best use of Information Technology and the delivery of coherent information from systems throughout the Company.
The Business Analyst role focuses on delivering information and technological solutions that require a high degree of inter departmental interaction, specifically building strong relationships with all stakeholders where information is shared. Delivering high quality systems that provide data accuracy and longevity necessitates involvement from the Business Analyst through the full development life cycle of the vehicle, from initial concepts through to historical data archive.
The ERP Systems Business Analysts will assist in delivering improved solutions to the Epicor ERP package and would be expected to liaise with users, departmental managers, develop functional specifications, while manage the development and testing of the solutions, before presenting and training to users. It is also envisaged that the Business Analysts, would have Epicor specific skills and be able to configure screens, and write reports and extract data using SQL.
Role responsibilities for the ERP Systems Business Analysts:
Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Understand and define stakeholder needs and provide recommendations.
Support process conception and re-engineering initiatives.
Understand and define business problems and primary objectives.
Evaluate potential software solutions, including off-the-shelf, open source and bespoke options.
Configure Epicor screens to provide exception based workflow functionality, to improve the user experience.
Develop SQL scripts to create regular and ad-hoc reports.
Work closely with external developers for complex solutions, required by the business.
Ensure detail design meets architectural requirements of the IT infrastructure.
Analyse and model existing business processes creating technical functional specifications, backed up by structured analysis techniques and methodologies.
Validate solutions with all key stakeholders, ensuring delivery is in line with expectations.
Develop a clear understanding of my clients systems, providing and supporting programme deliverables.
Should have proven experience in delivering projects and able to demonstrate experience from concept to delivery, for ERP applications, ideally Epicor.
Experience in all areas of the ERP suite of applications, covering Manufacturing, Logistics, Engineering, Sales Configurator and Finance, particularly in a 1st Tier Manufacturing Automotive environment (desirable).
SQL experience to design, develop and roll out reports to all users.
Should have experience of being part of a small manufacturing IT team delivering business improvements on a regular basis, while also being able to resolve ERP support issues as they occur (desirable).
The ability, confidence and tact necessary to challenge and put forward new ideas.
Be highly self – motivated, production aware team player, with effective communication skills.
Comfortable developing, providing and presenting training.
Applicants should be educated to Degree level or equivalent, in a relevant IT Discipline.
Have worked in an IT Manufacturing Automotive role, as either a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst.
As well as providing standard ERP Business Analysis, you should also be able to provide the necessary configuration skills to develop Epicor screens.
Small IT teams require a cross section of skills, as well as being highly proficient as a Business Analyst, this role offers a rewarding and challenging environments to work within.
